Blog #2: Goals for this semester

What are my goals for this semester? Well, I would like grow in the variety of what I use in my writing and in the volume of my writing.


Variety:
What I mean by variety in my writing is that I want to pursue different topics for my writing, use different writing strategies in my writing, use different literary devices in my writing, use different tone for my writing, and also going out of my comfort zone in writing/ try new things in my writing.


Topics such as: historical fiction, sci-fi (science fiction), mystery, horror, sports, etc.


Literary devices such as: symbolism, foreshadowing, and others I can't quite remember.


Tones such as: happy, sad, funny, horror, depressing, etc.


Volume:
What I mean by volume in my writing is that I want to improve on the # of pages I write per week, the length of my writing, the amount of words I write, and the depth of thinking I do.


What I mean by the depth of thinking I do is: using better vocabulary and thinking more when I write.


These are my goals for this semester in creative writing.
